Lundie’s BBS is for adults aged 18 and over. We ask you to affirm your eligibility; we do not ask for or keep your birth date.
What membership needs
Registration uses a username, password and email address, plus your age affirmation and the technical fields needed to protect your account. Passwords are stored as one-way password hashes. We do not send or log passwords. An email verification link is required before member access is enabled.
Your username, optional short profile and posts are visible to signed-in BBS members. Your email address is not shown in the member directory or on posts. Terminal preferences are saved with your account.
Underage accounts and email blocks
If a member is credibly found to be under 18, a SysOp may end the account and retain its normalized email address in a restricted registration blocklist so that the same address cannot register again. The blocklist record is limited to the email address, the underage reason and the date/action needed to enforce the rule. It does not store a birth date. The affected profile and posts are removed from the community views.
By owner policy, the blocked address is retained permanently to enforce the adult-only rule. The same person could use a different email address. If you believe an account or block is mistaken, or you want to ask about access, correction or deletion rights, contact a SysOp through the Lundie contact details. Requests will be reviewed under applicable legal requirements; this policy is not a claim of an unconditional legal entitlement to keep every record forever.
Security and moderation
SysOps can access account email addresses for account support and moderation. Important administrative actions are audited. Short-lived abuse-prevention records use a one-way hash derived from the connecting address rather than storing the address in plain text. Rate-limit records older than 48 hours are cleared during later account activity; hosting and web-server logs may have their own retention settings.
Posts may be hidden or accounts restricted to protect the community. Please do not post sensitive personal information.
